Vacuuming is the best way to remove everyday dirt and dust. Special care should be taken around the fringe area of the rug as it may get caught in the beater bar of the vacuum. You should vacuum at least two to three times a week during the first year to remove excess fuzz.
- Retain the beauty these fine products by regular vacuuming using the hard surface attachment.
- Remove spots with any dry cleaning fluid.
- Periodic professional dry cleaning is recommended.
- Accessory products may be washed, cold water, laid flat to dry.
Natural wool sheds liquid spills, so quick action offers the chance of preventing a stain.
- Never rub a spill. You will only force the spill deeper into the fibers.
- Except for latex paint spills, remove any solids using a spoon or blunt knife.
- Press absorbent white paper towels gently on the stain absorbing as much moisture as possible.
- Try to remove any residual stain with a little lukewarm (not hot) water containing a small amount of carpet shampoo.
- If water fails, the next step is solvent. Test the effect on a small unseen portion of the carpet.
- Apply solvent directly to stain and work gently with a spoon handle. Blot out quickly with a white paper towel.
- Never walk on moist area.
Almost all spills are removed by either dry cleaning fluid (follow manufacturer's instructions) or a simple solution of one teaspoon of mild detergent with one teaspoon of white vinegar in a quart of warm water.
If recommended procedure is not affective call a reputable cleaner.
